Formative evaluation and its use in music pedagogical practice at the first stage of elementary school

The diploma thesis deals with formative evaluation in music lessons at the first stage of elementary schools. The theoretical part defines the concept of evaluation of pupils at the first stage of elementary schools and various types of evaluation. Further deals with music psychology, musical abilities and skills. One chapter is devoted to the analysis of the Rámcový vzdělavací program základního vzděláván in terms of the required outcomes in music education. The theoretical part is concluded by the definition of formative evaluation and evaluation in music education. The practical part of the work consists of a questionnaire examining formative evaluation in music education at the first stage of elementary schools. The questionnaire finds out in what form the formative evaluation is performed and how often. Whether schools use it for evaluation in music education and how their formative evaluation corresponds to the outputs of the RVP ZV in music education. Development of musicality students at elementary school

The bachelor thesis is focused on musicality as a concept, the development of which is influenced by external and internal aspects. The development of musicality, ie musical abilities, can be created through musical activities. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the definition of musicality, motivation and relation to music it also points out the musical development of man and psychological musical concepts that are associated with musicality. In the field of music psychology, it deals with the development of musical abilities through musical activities that are used in primary schools. Deviations that may occur in music are also mentioned, they are a disorder of musical abilities and higher manifestations of music. In its practical part, this bachelor's thesis focuses on a fun and educational form of developing musical skills and activities in practice.
Connection Between Attitude Toward Music of Parents and Their Children

This bachelor thesis is focused on connection between attitude toward music of parents and their children. The goal of the thesis was a questionnaire survey on the sample of adolescent population and their parents, analysis of results and evaluation of hypotheses. 123 pupils of secondary school, 94 fathers and 120 mothers took part in research. Pupils and their parents filled in the questionnaires that were subsequently conjugated and analyzed concerning the connections between them. Hypotheses supposed significant parents' influence toward their children in selfassessment of musical skills, parents' musical experience affecting children musical education and finaly indirect effect of parents on children's musical preferences. Findings of research indicate stronger alliance between mothers' musical attitudes and attitudes of children. In spite of common perception, which supposes deep generation gap between children and their parents in the field of music, research results indicate, that parents and children often accept their favourite music respectivelly, or at least they know it. However, it is impossible to assert, that children simply copy music attitudes of their parents. Music in the TV news Coverage in Czech Republic

This thesis deals with the question how music is used and how often in the news report of Czech TV stations. It also presents findings of musical psychology, that points to the undesirable influence of such music on the objectivity of news reports because music influences the way the news is understood and interpreted by the viewer. The whole work consists of two main parts - theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part, we deal with music psychology, music analysis, music and sound development in the audiovisual work and the practice of sound production in television news. The chapter on musical psychology presents the basic and advanced concepts and knowledge of the field, which relate to the ability of music to interact with human communication, perception, understanding, memory, experiences and emotions. The next chapter is devoted to musical analysis focusing on semantic analysis. The third and final chapter of the theoretical part is dedicated to music and sound in audiovisual works as well as the development of work with sound and music in television broadcasting and news. Music as a Value of Human's life

The thesis considers an issue of the value of music in a human life. In the theoretical section the author interprets the term music and its roles in human life using available literature. Moreover, she focuses on the influence of a music on human psyche, in context of emotions, thinking, fantasy and motivation. The author also deals with the description of musical development of a personality. The author is also attentive to issues of values and value orientation in a human life. In the empirical section the author works with three groups of respondents; namely, with active musicians (i. e. playing a musical instrument or singing). She included professional musicians (group of students of music) and amateur musicians (group of working people with a musical hobby and a group of university students with a musical hobby). There are 33 respondents in the sample aged from 20 to 30. The comparison of these groups is based on the method of halfstructured interview. This diploma thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part contains the characteristics of school age, basic physiology of hearing and voice, describes the development of musical abilities and their classification. It also defines the basic concepts of music psychology, describes some of the basic methodology of music education and addresses issues of motivation at school. The practical part consists of a project for school clubs on "Round the world journey". The project focuses on developing musical skills and abilities through play, building positive relationships within the group and learning about the culture of other nations.
